How to Use:
KidServ is an interactive database whereby workers can navigate the map to identify community enrichment programs for clients. The programs are identified by the map pushpins(red). Click on the pushpin to view detailed contact, program type and other pertinent program information. The map also houses a zoom function that allows the worker to get a streetview of the program location. You can also view a larger map in a separate window to examine the DC ward layers and enrichment programs identified in DC and Maryland.  The link to the larger map is indicated at the base of the map and is hyperlinked – view larger map.

An important part of looking after the well-being of our kids means actively looking for more ways for them to learn, grow, participate, explore their interests, and broaden their horizons. KidServ, a new resource on the CFSA website, can help.

Social workers, take just a minute to check out this interactive database of extracurricular programs throughout the city. Whether a child or youth on your caseload is interested in sports, art, dance, having a mentor, or getting help with homework, you can find enrichment options in or near the child’s neighborhood.

These no-cost community-based programs are equally suitable for kids in care or at home. So take a look at KidServ and think how much some extra support and fun could mean to the kids you serve.
